The Student's Cup Pro-Am 2014 - NEWS UPDATE!!

Dear GOLFERS & FRIENDS

I am happy to announce that for the THIRD YEAR running..........................

"THE STUDENT'S CUP PRO-AM 2014, is officially on!!

Once again the time has come for the unique opportunity for all my students and their golfing friends and colleagues the chance to play along side a member of the JLPGA and at the same time compete against each other for prizes in the individual and team event competitions.

DATE & TIME:   Friday November 14th 2014. 8:30am start (two tee start)

LOCATION:         Aqualine GC, Chiba

COMPETITION FORMAT:

An 18 hole stroke play event for individual best gross score and handicap (best net score) honours.
An 18 hole Team best ball (Pros to be included as a team member).

AWARDS / PRIZES: THE STUDENT CUP TROPHY

Individual 18 hole stroke WINNER & RUNNER-UP for both the gross and handicap division.
Teams Best Ball 18 hole WINNER & RUNNERS-UP
Longest drives
NTP on all par 3's (4 chances)
Fewest Putts (Ball must be on the putting green to count as a putt)
Novelty event (s) TBA

THE HANDICAP SYSTEM:

The handicap system that I am thinking of using is called the SHEILD handicap system

The Scheid System is a "worst holes" system for large un-handicapped events that is designed to give all golfers an equal chance, with a range of scores up to 151.

Dear Golfers,

Entries are now being accepted for this years The Student's Cup Pro-Am 2014. There are limited spots, so entries will be accepted based on a first in first serve basis.

For this year's entry procedures, for those of you that have not already done so, please click onto the following link and fill our the on-line signup/entry form then submit it.

Once I receive your sign up form, i will send an invoice for your entry fee and the payment procedures.

CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRIES IS FRIDAY OCTOBER 31st. 

SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES:

Sponsorship packages are available and can be in the form of either financial input or in the form of product / service donations for prizes to be handed out to the various winners at the Awards ceremony.
There will be a couple of levels of sponsorship packages available, with varying benefits, including the "Naming Rights" to this event.

The Monthly Medal and Leader Board Challenge event
A Pathway to the 2014 STUDENTS CUP PRO=AM

The Event details:

The 2014 Tom Fielding Golf’s Monthly Medal competition and Leader Board Challenge kicks-off on Sunday April 27, 2014 at the Kanagawa CC in Sagamihara-shi Kanagawa-ken.

This will be the 1st of a series of friendly matches held where ever possible on a monthly basis, culminating in the final event of the year at the STUDENT’S CUP PRO-AM.
Each monthly event will incorporate a stroke event with both gross and handicap sections. At each monthly event points are allocated in both events sections based on your position in the field.
The date is Sunday April 27th and the first group hitting off at 7:30am. Currently there are places for 16 players (4groups). However more places can be booked if necessary.
The format is a stroke event for best gross and best handicap (I use the Scheid handicap system, similar to the Callaway handicap system), the day is planned as a friendship game, and there will be prizes awarded to the winners of each of the Stroke and handicap section (only one prize per person), other prizes will be awarded for the following;

NTP’s
Putting Challenge - Fewest putts for the 18 holes.
Short Game Challenge - Fewest shots hit from within 50yards to putting out on each hole.

In each event points are allocated in both events based on your position in the field. These points are accumulative, in a similar process to that of the Fed-ex cup and the "Road to Dubai". Points will continue to accumulate in all events to establish a Leader Board for both the gross and handicap events leading up to the "The Student's Cup Pro-Am 2014".

DETAILS:

GREEN FEES: Self play (i.e. NO caddy)￥12,500

Inclusions: Green Fee and cart fee
Competing for the prize awards for both the stroke and handicap events
Exclusions: Lunch and competition fees

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOW:

Green fees plus any other consumables are to be paid direct to the golf club!!!

Competition fee: ￥2,500 payable direct to Tom Fielding, upon arrival.

The competition is individual stroke and handicap (The Callaway handicap system will be used to determine the handicaps on the day. ).
