An internet lesson with Tom Fielding can help you develop the concepts of the ‘Right Sided Swing’ (made famous by my instructor Mr. Gary Edwin), and create a swing that is simple, repeatable, reliable and holds up in those pressure situations that you may come across in your golfing career.

 HOW TO CORRECTLY FILM AND SEND THROUGH YOUR SWING

Here is how it works:

Video Capturing Instructions
It is requested that students email two individual video files of their golf swing from the following two positions to [email protected] in avi. Format (it is preferable that the student hits balls while taking the footage and uses a mid-iron i.e. 7 Iron);
If you should have any troubles emailing the video files it is recommended that you email the files in two separate emails.

1.    Film yourself hitting some shots and email through to [email protected]

2.    Within 48 hours of receipt of your swing footage via email you will receive the following:
- a detailed analysis of your swing with voice over
- solutions for improvement with customized drills.
- This is packaged into a video file

3.    Use the advice given to improve your game and send through more swings to improve further

(Please note where lesson packages are purchased the student will be provided with all of the above for each individual lesson).

To obtain an Internet Lesson, I will require a video footage of your swing for analysis to be sent via email, we recommend you have broadband or an equivalent high speed connection to download your personalized lesson quickly.

Film yourself hitting a couple of shots on the range. You need to capture two shots. One from the front (see picture 1 below) and one from the back (see picture ). The front view footage should be taken at waist height directly in front of the student perpendicular to the student’s target line. (Use a tripod if possible)
The rear view footage should be a rear shot taken at waist height directly behind the student parallel to their target line and directly down the line of the student’s hands at address.

Where possible footage should be taken with a shutter speed of at least 1500 frames per minute (2000 fpm is ideal) and an aperture that is appropriate for the light conditions.

Capture the video from your camera onto your computer. Where many students may have video analysis software such as V1 Golf or Swinger it is recommended that video files are captured using Windows Movie Maker or equivalent software. Movie maker allows the student to choose the quality of the capture and therefore the size of the file to be emailed. It is requested that the quality of the video footage be captured at Video for broadband (512kbps) at the very least. (Min Video Size should be 720 by 526 pixels) Also WMV
Please ensure that there is one clear capture from the front and one from the rear. (We don't need to see footage of anything other than you hitting a shot)

It is also requested that all video files sent be saved in the following format. Surname, Given name dd-mm-yy Back or Front. (eg Smith, John 19-03-05 Back)

Even though quality is important, please try to keep each file to a max of 5 meg. (Please send two emails if files are large)
